KEEPING THE CONNECTIONS SMOOTH

“We humans remember the good and bad – our creative influences and destructive influences. As long as we remember wrongs done to us or the way others have wronged us, we continue to feed the bad and in only this way the bad continues,” says Dr. Gladys McGarey, M.D. in one of her regular columns in ‘Venture Inward.’ “If we stop feeding the memories of the hurts and the pain we have sustained, they no longer exist. But the good has within itself the ability to create more goodness. The bad self-destructs; the good self-perpetuates. If we look at this law of cause and effect as hardships to be faced, we continue to perpetuate a difficult and hard life. But if we can understand that really this is a beautiful opportunity we have been given to accentuate the manifestations of the fruits of the spirit – kindness, gentleness, mercy, long-suffering – we will bring peace among humankind.”

“In these interpersonal relationships, we are meeting ourselves in relationships with another person. We are working with our memory of our relationships with another person. Our thoughts are the food upon which the soul feeds. We are continually feeding it negative thoughts, or we are constantly feeding our soul the good creative and healthy thoughts. What we create in the earth plane we must meet in the earth plane, and only those you love may hurt you. All our relationships are part of a pattern and we continually meet ourselves. Each soul pays for its own karma, and no one else’s. If we act according to our ideal in line with the spiritual laws that we know and understand, ideals will grow and be creative in the little things as well as the big as we find different ways of expressing each day. If we criticize and condemn others we are feeding on negative emotions, they grow and if we stop feeding them they dissipate. Only when our thoughts and actions work with peace with our fellow human beings will there be peace.” Venture Inward: 800-333-4499.
